Little adventures, galactic mischief

How Alien Roommate plays

One curious alien, one very ordinary house, and a whole lot of small adventures. Here's what you'll actually be doing.

Alien Roommate is still in development. There are no finished in-game screenshots yet — everything below is concept art and style reference, not a capture from the game.

Step one

Choose a roommate

Every save starts with Zee, but Lumi, Glom, and Orby move in as you play. Each roommate reacts to the same house, the same missions, and the same snacks in their own particular way — so the "same" adventure never quite plays the same twice.

There's no wrong pick. Whoever you choose, the whole crew eventually ends up on the couch together.

Make it yours

Decorate your saucer

Collect furniture, posters, plants, and quirky finds from across your missions, then arrange them however you like. Turn an ordinary saucer into a home that reflects your crew and your style — cozy, cluttered, minimalist, or somewhere delightfully in between.

Small missions, big mischief

Run daily missions

Help out around the house, explore the neighborhood, and turn everyday errands into an adventure. Missions are short, snack-fueled, and built to fit into a few spare minutes — or a long lazy afternoon, if you'd rather binge them.

Example: "The Missing Sock Mystery" — Zee is convinced the dryer is a portal. Orby has a much less exciting theory.

Quick, playful challenges tucked inside the bigger adventure.

Ready to play

Snack Sort

Sort falling snacks into the jar and everything else into the bin, before they hit the floor. Drop one in the wrong place and it costs you a miss — five and the round is over.

Saucer Repair

Rewire the ship's stranger systems: drag each part to its matching connector across ten increasingly tangled boards. Hints and a reset are always there if a wire defeats you.

Specimen Roundup

Wrangle escaped Earth "specimens" for further (extremely unqualified) alien research. Some wander, some flee the moment you reach for them, and some just pace the same stubborn line.

Discover Earth. Sort of.

Make discoveries

Investigate strange human things, ask big questions, and see the ordinary world through alien eyes. Every discovery gets logged — with commentary that says a lot more about the crew than it does about Earth.

Capture the moment

Photo moments

Pose your roommate in the room you decorated, pick a caption, and keep the shot. Photo moments are a quiet, low-pressure way to look back on a save file full of small, strange memories — and they use no camera and no photos of your own.
